Stunning RC De Havilland Vampire turbine Jet suffers terrible belly landing mishap Amazing scale detail on this scratch built Vampire, and this 4th flight was in difficulty when it appeared the mains landing gear was not retracted away properly. On prep for landing the nose gear did not extend and on touch down it was apparent the mains were not locked because they collapsed and the Vampire suffered damage to its belly as it skidded down the runway. Owner and pilot Keith re-assured me that it is repairable so we hope to see it in the air for a 100% successful flight in the not too distant future. #rc #radiocontrol #essentialrc Filmed by Dom Mitchell for the 'Essential RC' YouTube channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 4K camcorder at Large Model Association (LMA) Elvington 2021.
