RoboBiggles & the Spitfire

RoboBiggles & the Spitfire

The brief life of a 1.1m Parkzone Spitfire flying FPV. It will fly again but I think it's going to be too much of a handful for me to take off with the goggles already on. With the correct CofG the small wheels mean that she doesn't taxi or roll well on grass (I had the CoG too far back for the taxi test which is why it rolled ok). To get it off the ground without a nose over I have been applying full power immediately - that results in viscious left roll - torq I believe - I got lucky correcting the first time - but lucked out 2nd time around. Cockpit survived so it will be a winter project to fix or replace the fuselage. I've also got my eye on the imminent Durafly MkI - that is just begging to be FPV'd!! See her successful re-maiden after total
